Final victory in the Court/Dort gas station wars

For years there have been two gas stations at the intersection of Court and Dort near us.  One of them was a BP and was the fatter and glossier of the two.  The other one, a Sunaco, has been in and out of business at least 3 times.  Most recently, however, it was bought by a group of South East Asian immigrants who have systematically slashed the gas prices.  So, despite their seedy appearance, they would attract the most cars.  To compete, the BP had to lower its prices too, and I assumed they would just wait out the inevitable failure of the Sunaco.  But no - a few months ago a fire broke out and the BP closed.  "A temporary setback" I thought, but I underestimated the Sunaco, because today I saw that the bulldozers have come out for the BP:

I can't help but draw parallels with the 2016 elections.  But of course, with inauguration day looming, it's hard to put those out of one's head at the best of times.
