It's now an annual thing that Canada gets blanketed with wildfires and that the US gets blowback, but for the first time it's actually reached Flint. Starting late last afternoon there were hurricane warnings and while other places got the exciting stuff, like giant hail, we just got winds that ushered in all the smoke, so that if you step outside everything smells like Bonfire Night (pleasant, but unhealthy). Here are some photos I took to try to capture the haze. Also included, lots of shots of them finally knocking down Flint Central High School.
