Monster Vine and Melon Update

This morning I was SHOCKED at the size of a watermelon I had never seen before:

I have ordered some jute melon hammocks (as they are called) but they haven't arrived yet. As to the Vine Beast, it, too, grew in the night with a brand new 5' tall branch growing up the back fence, heading toward our neighbor's house:
